Description

High on the crest of Palomar Mountain, where towering evergreens frame views stretching from the Pacific to the Observatory, Round House Ranch is anything but ordinary. Set on 11.39 private acres, its distinctive twelve-sided home has been beautifully renovated from top to bottom, creating a turnkey mountain retreat with exceptional craftsmanship, usable land, and room to spread out. Inside, soaring old-growth timber beams frame an 18-foot vaulted great room with a wood-burning stove and expansive windows that bring the mountain setting indoors. The beautifully finished kitchen features leathered granite counters with waterfall edge, custom maple cabinetry, and premium stainless appliances, flowing seamlessly to an expansive hardwood deck. Three bedrooms each offer an ensuite bath, complemented by a spacious downstairs family room and indoor laundry/utility room. Outside, broad areas of level, usable land unfold beneath mature cedars, firs, and oaks. Existing barn and stable facility adds versatility for animals, hobbies, a workshop, studio, or additional storage, with plenty of room for RVs, gardens, and outdoor pursuits. A chicken coop and productive private well further enhance the property’s mountain homestead appeal. Take in distant Pacific and island views to the west, Palomar Observatory and San Jacinto to the north, spectacular dark skies, and four distinct seasons. Just over a mile from Palomar Mountain State Park, Round House Ranch offers a rare combination of turnkey living, privacy, usable acreage, and authentic mountain character. Bring your suitcase—the work has been done!
